About the Role:
The Teller provides exceptional service to members by meeting their cash related deposit and withdrawal needs. The role contributes to the credit union’s success by developing strong relationships with members and actively promoting and cross-selling deposit products and services. The Teller demonstrates OCU’s values of integrity, professionalism, accountability and co-operation through their work and interactions with OCU employees, members and the community.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Providing Exceptional Member Service
• Develops strong member relationships and recognizes member needs to promote and cross-sell deposit services
• Communicates basic credit union product and service information to increase member awareness and generate referrals to other departments
• Develops business by recognizing membership growth opportunities and actively promoting products and services and referring more complex requests for information and assistance to appropriate branch staff
• Processes member transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan and utility payments, credit card advances, calculation of foreign and domestic exchange, cheque cashing and Registered product transactions
• Balances transactions, vouchers, and cash on a daily basis
• Participates in the balancing of the ATM machines including the accurate count and verification of deposit items and reconciling ATM activities
Sustaining Member Growth
• Cross sells products and fosters business development with a working knowledge of credit products and services; refers more complex member requests to the appropriate credit union staff
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of credit union deposit services and products and relevant policies
• Assists in ensuring that Osoyoos Credit Union is well maintained and offers a welcoming member experience
• Other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
• High school diploma
• 1-2 years of experience in a financial or retail sales and service environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Basic knowledge of banking services and products
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong member relationships
• Advanced attention to detail and ability to input numerical data accurately and efficiently into banking system
• Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to adhere to professional, regulatory and industry standards
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and interdependently with other roles to ensure member needs are delivered in a seamless manner

Wage Range: $21/hour – 24.50/hour
About the Role:
The Commercial Account Representative (CAR) plays an essential role on the branch team. The successful applicant has a positive and adaptable approach with strong attention to detail and builds effective relationships both within the organization and externally with member interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide lending support as needed, mostly commercial, including processing, posting and verification of loan applications and related documentation.
• Perform numerous related tasks, updates and audits on loan specific items, applicable documentation and/or processes as required.
• Conduct follow-up on unassigned delinquent accounts and maintain a systematic collection procedure for early identification of problem accounts.
• Answer routine merchant Mastercard inquiries, or refer to Merchant Solutions as required.
• Keep apprised of changing rules and regulations pertaining to relevant legislation requirements, as well as keeping a current knowledge of all OCU lending, and deposit products and services.
Skills & Attributes:
• Passion for delivering exceptional member/client service and dedicated to building strong relationships and connections in the community.
• Demonstrates a good knowledge of computer skills, including MS Windows and Office program environments.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Strong organizational skills towards work and assignment of tasks to maximize efficiency and responsibilities.
Experience & Education:
• Minimum three (3) years in related job experience (financial, retail or hospitality industries).
• Secondary school diploma.
• Maintain proficiency with developing systems, applications, and productivity programs.
